Outings

We recently went to the Museum of Science and Industry. It was not that bad, but it was still crowded and as always a few rude teenagers. But, Arianna loved the train set and the airplane. Here we are already ready to go, that is why she is in the stroller. She loves to walk or run otherwise.

Arianna loved to run on the airplane and when she saw the "TV" she sat down and started saying "tv, tv". The funny thing is that she likes the tv for the noise, not really to watch it.

Can someone tell her that calling from an airplane costs an arm and a leg?

This is an aerial shot from the second floor into their awesome train models display in the first floor. We were in the same spot for awhile because Ari wanted to see the choo choo.

Who does not like to play with lego! They have a nice exhibition about them. Look the wonderful colors. I guess if you were into modernism, that is a way to decor your house.

I took this picture in honor of Mike's old job. He used to work in the Sear's Tower long time ago now. I know it has another name now, but we still like the old name :)

If seems that everything we go to the museum, I take a picture of Mike in this same spot. So, here it is to tradition!

We went to ARIE or RIE or something along those lines (Ann or Mike knows the name). Anyway, it is a sporting store and Arianna loved this bike so much that she wouldn't come down. We stayed there for awhile, left and come back again.

Sunday breakfast was in McDonald's. They were having a party and Ari got a balloon as well. She likes to go there and jump around like a monkey, then she gets to excited and starts screaming. No low voice for this child.

I wonder if she is complaining to the big guy!

Showing some excellent moves.

Yes, daddy. I am ok. I just like to be all over the place!

In one of the get together, my friend Myrna has a nice swing/slide on her yard. I did not think that Ari could use this type yet, but she proved me wrong. Now, we have a better idea what to get her in the future.

Thanks to Tony once again for painting Mike's office. This was the second time around. The first color (painted about 3 yrs ago) was not exactly what he wanted, but this time, we got the right color.

I did not get the best shot of the doggie and the light was about to change. But, for a split second I was envious of this dog. He looked thoroughly happy to be enjoying the wind on his face. He was so excited :)

Around Thanksgiving

Well, let's see Arianna still loves her bear as you can see in the pictures below. I love the one where she is looking at the fridge because she did not know that I was taking the picture, and she is going about her business :) The other picture, you can tell that she was telling me something " BEAR"! Yes, we know is your bear sweety...
[ In other words, she makes the sound for monkey and dog. Knows her nose, ears, and sometimes mouth. She can say blue (blu). Asks for her bottle. Tells you when she is hungry. She hugs and kisses her bears and us! ...and some more that I cannot think right now...]

How this ladybug got into Arianna's shoe is a mystery. When we got home and took her shoes, I saw something inside. First , I thought it was a small pebble, but once I went inside to get it and moved, it startled me until I figured out what it was. I took her outside so my cats were not going to " play " with it.

On Thanksgiving Day, we went to the Museum of Science and Industry as it has become a tradition. Most of the trees were beautiful, but I have to say that the Mexican tree this year was not nice. :( Hopefully next year, they can do something better. I even told Mike I would try to save or make some ornaments for next year if I can find out who is doing it next year. I always pick my favorite top 3. This year were: Poland, Japan, and Native American!
In this visit, we had a pretty group: Arianna, Arianna's grandparents, Uncle Ron, Aunt Ann, Mike and me. This was the first year that Arianna was walking around and touching gently some of the ornaments. She liked this doll that was next to one of the trees. I guess she started to like babies. We also ate a little so we could still have a big appetite for the wonderful dinner that Tiffany, Dave and Glenn did for us later in the day. Here are some pictures of the Museum!

Wait for the second part of the Thanksgiving Day!

Field Museum

In the biology class that Mike is taking, there is a lab that he has to do which involves going to the Field Museum. It is a nice idea to try to get people interested in history, science and such, but it is an expensive activity. I mean what isn't these days? I know they have their free days, but none on the weekends so it will be more expensive for Mike to take a day off from work to go in the free day. He was able to use his student ID for 3 dls off, our admission price was $41 dls (including the Aztec exhibition - which you have to pay extra to go see), our parking was $18 dls (for 5 hrs). If you stay up to 4 hrs is $15dls. We spent $15 dls for McDonalds (I found out later that you can take your lunch there). Six dollars, for a nice card and a maraca for Arianna. So, our visit was $80dls! I know I am missing something because before I came out with 90dls, anyway. How can a family of 4 or 5 or more do it? Yes, there is a family membership, but it does not include parking like the Museum of Science and Industry. So, it can get pricey just in parking. The museum is nice, but if we want families to go there and learn maybe it should be more affordable.
Anyway, the museum has beautiful exhibitions. Mike's favorites are in the evolving planet where they talked about primates and the dinosaurs. My favorites are the exhibition about the North American Birds and the beautiful gems!

Oh yeah, we also got into a small car accident to top our Saturday. It was very small and it is not noticeable, but we got a dent about the size of a small orange that needs to get fixed. It does not seem that affected the tire or the door, but we will have it check to make sure it was just the metal. It was not our fault, and we have the other person's info. At least, everyone is ok and the car is running ok as well.
Thanks to Ron and Dad Ron for fixing our garage door!
