52 Projects #3

52_proj_badge_v2

For my third project I decided to do a scarf. Now, I have done plenty of scarves ( it has been awhile since my last one), but I had never used a loom!
My mom had bought one and was telling me about it so I got curious and I went to the store and saw a bag with 4 looms of different sizes for about 20 dollars. That was at the end of December and finally was able to use it.
Now they are a few mistakes, but overall looks pretty nice to me. My daughter loved it and it is her size!

After finishing the scarf, my reward was a piece of yummy chocolate!

I got Periwinkle to model for me :)

And then my daughter, (Can you tell that she picked her pajamas?) loved it and slept with it for awhile.

WPP#6

For my Weekend Picture Project (WPP) - for those that are new or forgot... I am taking 1-2 pictures per week for a year of something that caught my eye for whatever reason :).
For this week I could not decide between these 2 pictures. My first pick was the piggy. It is the only Christmas thing we still have on, but in our backyard so we see it when we go to the garage. The picture was taken with the previous snow at the beginning of the week and I was going to work. Then, I turned and I saw a smiling pig (granted it is not real), but may me smile if the pig is smiling with all this snow so can I ! (At least that was my logic at the time ;) As for the picture above. It reminded me when just in a few months it will be so green and it will look like a wonderful place to have a picnic. Our neighbors had actually camped there.

Arianna is talking more in sentences:

The other day I showed her the blog and when she saw the picture of the squirrel eating the apple, she said: " The squirrel is eating the apple"! I said yes he is. "He is eating apples because they are mmmmmm (good)!"

"New Clothes"

We had seen a new store of gentle used children 's clothes near our house called Once upon a child and we decided to check it out mostly because the thrift store does not seem to have 3Ts, we are in a budget and Arianna needed some clothes (mostly pants). Arianna had a lot of fun! They had toys as well, but they were not as cheap as the thrift store, but in the other hand the toys are in better condition and complete sets, otherwise they will tell you. No broken pieces, no chipped stuff. Not bad, but we have enough toys for now. I am looking for a kitchen though. She loved his cousin's kitchen last time we went to visit. As for the clothes, you would not even know they were used. I bought two things that still had the tags. Prices were 2.50- 5.00 average. They had dresses or design clothes (GAP, Phat, etc) that are a bit more expensive. We would go again, and hopefully next time the crazy lady that was following Mike will not be there!

This was one of the projects from the 52 projects per year. But I wanted to add some more pictures. She really liked it. Maybe one day we will get an easel, a big one! And we may try feet painting just like someone left in my comments!

Mike was looking for a way to arrange all of Arianna's toys and we bought some baskets. They look so pretty :)
