Cool Pictures

We have endured a few days of horrible weather, but today is not too bad (all thing considered). This picture, I took after we were outside for a bit ( I was shoveling about a foot of snow). Now, I don't need to worry about Arianna hating snow, for the contrary she loves it. So, I have to keep an eye she does not get too wet!

Ezri in her time in the first floor, she goes back and forth between my two boxes of gerbils!

This picture was taken today after going grocery shopping.

And I love her little shoe print! Next time I'll try to put my print so you can see the difference.

Oh, yeah. Mommy's little helper! She was trying to put the bags away. Maybe soon she can actually help me more. :)

Yeah, one of my nature pictures that I love to take.

Ezri chilling in the basement, she was happy after she saw Daisy!

Yeah, here she is - Daisy- welcome to the Nelson Family!

A pet for Ezri

We went to Petco and ended up buying a gerbil! I kept feeling guilty for having Ezri in the basement ( I do lock Betsy and Misty for 1-2 hrs per day and let Ezri roam free, but she still cries sometimes and cannot let her up) so what to do ? Yeah, that is where Daisy comes in :) We were looking for a pair, but anywhere we went they only had one, so I will post a picture of her later in the week. She is all black with a whitish chin. Very beautiful and not jumpy at all.
We did try an introduction, and well did not go as well... :( So, unless some kind of miracle happens, I think Ezri and Daisy will go to a great couple. So, going back to our new member, she is definitely keeping Ezri more happy and everyone else too.

Happenings...

Well, I made a comment before about our "backyard guest", and I was able (finally) to download the pictures I took...

mm hm.... what is this? Yummy, onion rings and panettone.

"What are you looking at?" It seemed that is what he/she was thinking. I guess the food was too good to pass because she turned around and kept eating.

ok, one more and then I go back to my siesta!

Kudos to Mike for taking such a nice picture of a wonderful Cardinal that lives around the house!

I guess after eating a bit, it was getting ready to fly to his nest (somewhere in the back of our house).

We finally bought a doodle so she can start making her art without going around tables, floor, walls, etc... (well, I am sure she will still surprise us with some art on the walls, but at least we can take this while she is in the car seat!).

Arianna's first artwork!

Yeah, she started to like dolls and it is amazing to see the things that they put together. We did not teach her to brush her hair, but she did.

And she figured she was hungry so she fed her!

We went to my sister's house for the Epiphany on Jan 6th. As you can see Arianna was having a lot of fun running around with her cousins!

That is the Rosca de Reyes that we bought for this occasion and Scarlett, my mom and I got the little dolls that are hidden in the bread!

Scarlett amazed by the little dolls and enjoying her juice!

Yeah, got the baby again. Three years in a row...

Phew, my sister seemed happy because she did not get the baby this year, but Scarlett did so she still needs to cook something for February 2nd!

Back in our place, we are trying to cook more in the house. So, while I fed Arianna, Mike made this artwork of pizza!

We were coming from some errands when I realized that our odometer was the same number all across so i took this picture.

Yep, I put up with my hat because it is cold outside, but i don't know need this in my hair!

What's cooking?

That is the name of a website that I found when I was looking for a rice pudding recipe. I'd been trying to find different things to cook so take a look at it!

Yummy!

Opossum, basement and Ezri

I took some nice pictures of the opossum that sometimes sleeps under our deck! It was 1-3pm and Mike had thrown away some left over onion rings and panettone. I will post them later!
In other news, we have been working really hard during Mike's week off in the basement. I guess, since we have Ezri down there, it motivated us to get "down" to business and clean! Of course, we always forget the before and after pictures, but I will take the after once we are done. We still need to organize our shelves, but they are in the right locations now and we put some nice carpet and tiles! We even made our little crafty and train corners! So, we can spend time with Ezri while doing some stuff and Arianna will have a place as well for her books and some toys :)
We gave away a lot of toys (Veteran of Vietnam and to my sister for her church) and books (to the library). We also gave away some nice knickknacks, few movies, and some other stuff I cannot even remember... I guess Tiffany had the same idea. I called ours "Winter Cleaning for Ezri".
In Ezri's news, she is an amazing kitty. She does not like to run out which is good, we are still very careful with that and we try to use the back door. We are trying to introduce her to the other two cats, Betsy is the one that is most interested. (Misty does not seem to care). So, we are hopeful, but I am not sure...

Oh, Arianna is doing a lot better. We are not sure if the fever was the teething (she has 6 coming out) or some other stomach bug... the good thing is that she is doing fine now and she loves her cats (including Ezri)!

Ouch Time

Our poor baby is having a hard time with the new teeth coming out. She is having at least 4 (it looks like 6) teeth coming at the same time all over her mouth. So, her gums are puffy everywhere and it is hard for her to eat. I am giving her soft stuff, but she is not that hungry and she had 2 days with fever as well. Fever seems to be gone right now. If it continues, we might have to go to the doctor, just to be safe :(
